Window Repair Cary NC

Home window repair in Cary, NC on the older streets near downtown often starts with an owner who wants to keep the original windows and has been told it cannot be done. It usually can. The lower rail of a wood sash goes soft first, and that length is cut out and rebuilt in new wood to the same section, then primed and painted until the joint cannot be found. Glazing that has cracked away is cleared and the panes reset in fresh compound, so the old glass stays in the sash. Where a sash cord has snapped, a new one is run over the pulley to the original weight and the sash lifts freely again. The window keeps its proportions and its look, and the house holds on to the detail that set it apart when it was new. Our window repair service does every step on the property; a window repair company familiar with these older sash will tell the owner straight away which ones are worth saving.
