Window Repair in Waukesha WI

Wood window repair in Waukesha, WI starts where water does the most harm on an original sash: the front edge of the sill, the bottom rail of the lower sash, and the two joints at the bottom of the frame where meltwater settles each spring. Argo tests those spots with a probe rather than judging by the paint, since a finish can look perfect over wood that has already gone soft. Any decayed length is taken out, a new piece is worked to the original profile in fresh lumber, and it is fitted, primed, and painted so the repair disappears. Glass and hardware stay exactly where they are. That keeps a sash built from tight-grained old stock, a quality no modern window offers, and it keeps the elevation looking the way it always has. A whole new unit is quoted only when decay has reached every part of the frame, which in Waukesha is unusual.
